THE UNPARDONABLE SIN

Unpardonable means forgiveness is never given. Therefore it can not be a part of this age of grace as any sin may be forgiven the born again believer. Consider the worst sin you can imagine. That will be different for different people. It may be murder, genocide, torture, child molestation or whatever else might be the worst sin you can imagine. Whatever that sin may be,it can be forgiven if the person doing the sin later turns to Christ as a believer and is “born again”

I will use one scripture quote here but you must know that there are many.

If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.

So,the unpardonable sin must be outside the “age of grace”

Let's examine the unpardonable sin where, and when,it happened.

Matthew 12 vs 31-32 ...All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy [against] the [Holy] Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. There are also descriptions of this same event in Mark chapter 3 and Luke chapter 12.

First, who was there? Jesus and the Holy Spirit were there, along with the people who were being healed, and the scribes and Pharisees. A "multitude" of witnesses is also mentioned.

Second, what were they doing. Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, was busy healing people. In other words he was performing visible miracles for all to witness.

Third, who committed the unpardonable sin? The scribes and Pharisees who claimed that Jesus was performing these miracles by the power of Satan. So their blasphemy of the Holy Spirit was the claim that the miracles were by Satan.

Matthew 12 vs 24 But when the Pharisees heard [it,] they said, This [fellow] doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Finally, this was all done before the age of grace. Jesus is now back,in Heaven, at the right hand of the Father and the Holy Spirit indwells us. Since Jesus is back in Heaven you can not ascribe his miracles to Satan. Now with that said,it is my belief that since the Holy Spirit will leave at the Rapture and that Jesus will set up his kingdom in the Millenium, then it may well be possible for the unsaved to once again commit the unpardonable sin.

So sinner, whatever your sin is/was, do not think that God will not forgive you.Believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and confess openly that he is your Saviour and God will forgive you.

Romans ch 10 vs 9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
